Kittiwake

This weekend I went snorkelling with my dad and older brother around a few different ship wrecks, my personal favourite was the Kittiwake it was awesome, there were many beautiful fish, including sergeant majors, flounder, lionfish, eels, I even saw two stingrays. It is approximately sixty feet deep, I dove down for about 30 seconds at a time but my dad and brother swam all the way through which took about three minutes in total to dive down, swim through and come back up. They held their breath rather long. I kept getting scared that I would get stung because I kept seeing clear bubbles floating around below the surface of the water, lol. When heading ashore I even got a little sea sick and my brother was making fun of me. Told him to shut up before I threw up on him!

This weekend I visited the Crystal Caves with my mom and sister, which are located in North Side, Grand Cayman. First we took a little bus down a long dirt road, into the bushes then we met our friendly guide, whom just so happened to be family to us. It was really beautiful, there were many green shrubs and trees, there was a really nice wooden gift shop and bathrooms which were so nature filled. There were even stray cats, there was one that followed me through each cave, always rubbing cross my legs or laying in front of me for a rub. The caves were so cool, I never realized Cayman even had such a beautiful place. When we were in the caves it echoed, there were even little palms tree sprouts. Bats carry the seeds and then drop them. We saw an Agouti which lived between some of the crystals near the ground. Our guide even strummed some of the large crystals, which made a real pretty musical noise. My favorite cave was the one with the little lake. There were even lights in the water which made it even more beautiful. My little friend (the cat) even sat in front of it posing for a picture, lol. After the crystal caves we went through a normal little cave area and there were dozens of bats, even babies. They were so cute I even told my mom I’d steal one to take home. This was a very educational, fun-filled and relaxing day. I would totally recommend visiting when you have the chance!
